GIVING HOPE AT CHRISTMAS

Are you feeling festive yet?

Staff at Rubb are getting ready to do our bit in a Christmas knit by taking part in the Rubb Buildings Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 18 December.

It’s easy to get involved: people can simply dig out their favourite festive knit, wear it to work and donate £2 or more. There will even be a prize for the most creative outfit.

The money we raise will help three amazing charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish® UK and Save the Children – and help give hope to families in difficulty at Christmas.

You can visit the Text Santa website to find out more about the appeal.

If you would like to help the Rubb team raise money for these charities please visit our Just Giving page

Tune into ITV on the evening of the 18 December for the Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day show, to see how your support will help even more families in difficulty, here in the UK and abroad.

There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. As Britain’s leading cancer support charity, Macmillan Cancer Support knows that cancer can take over your whole life and the lives of those around you. That’s why Macmillan nurses and other professionals work tirelessly to help individuals and their families with expert medical, practical, financial and emotional support when it is needed the most.

Make-A-Wish® UK grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious condition. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has turned the wishes of more than 9,000 seriously ill children into magical realities – creating memories to treasure forever, whatever the future may hold

Save the Children works to get children the healthcare, food and water, safety and education they need to survive and thrive. The charity operates in 120 countries and is there for children in their toughest moments, in the toughest places. This pioneering work helps give children, no matter where they’re born, the chance to fulfil their potential.
