Our story

Rubb Managing Director Ian Hindmoor and his wife Joanne lost someone very dear to them earlier this year.

Jill Reed, a very close friend of Joanne’s, sadly passed away from breast cancer at the age of 36. She leaves behind a loving husband Mark, daughter Connie and son Luke.

Ian said: “Jill was an inspirational character, very bubbly, smiley, outgoing, and full of love. Seeing the effects that this horrible disease had on one of life’s wonderful women, in such a short space of time, was and is utterly heartbreaking. This is why we're raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.”

“My wife Joanne and I will be taking part in this year’s Total Warrior Challenge on June 28th in Leeds. We will be running in memory of Jill who sadly died from the effects of cancer in January this year.

“Jill was a very close friend of Joanne’s from their time training together at college. During their adult lives they both had children at around the same time and Joanne is godmother to Jill and Mark’s son Luke.

“We would be very grateful if you can contribute to this cause which is very close to our hearts.”
