Rubb completes the perfect painting environment
13th July 2013
Monitor Coatings contacted Rubb Buildings Ltd looking for the perfect covering for specialised painting contracts. Rubb came up with the ideal building solution.
North Shields based Monitor Coatings Ltd boasts a comprehensive range of products relating to surface engineering including a unique combination of High Velocity coatings combined with slurry sealants to enhance the coating characteristics. The company offers a plasma coating facility, in particular a large range of ceramic coatings including thermal barrier coatings for specialist applications in Aerospace.
A BVR type structure was chosen to maximize the internal work space which was crucial to the requirement. Monitor Coatings needed a 12m span x 21m long x 4.2m sidewall building to house forthcoming projects.
Rebecca Allcock, Managing Director At Monitor Coatings, said: “From the initial meeting and draft proposal, Rubb Buildings Ltd proved to be a highly proficient company. Their understanding and knowledge of our requirements was outstanding and their professionalism continued from initial design through the build stage to completion. Due to the commitment and skill of everyone involved, the whole production programme of works was completed efficiently, on time, to our high specifications and with as little disruption to our existing business as was possible. We have no hesitation in recommending their services.”
Rubb Sales Manager Andrew Knox said: “The structure has a galvanized steel frame, blue PVC coated fabric walls with a white translucent roof. The project was challenging for our erection team as the space around the building was very tight, but with Rubb’s experience we were able to overcome these problems and complete construction on time to the customer’s satisfaction.”
