Rubb Buildings Ltd delivered a custom designed workshop structure to Portlethen, Scotland to house the refurbishment processes undertaken by CairnToul. The BVR maintenance and storage building features a span of 15m and is 22m long, with low sidewalls of 3m. The structure incorporates multiple side entrances and openings to accommodate space for existing equipment racks and access to and from the building.
The front gable includes a 14.75m high opening, while one side opening measures 3.7m wide x 2m high to facilitate entry and exit of well equipment. The opposite side includes two further openings measuring 2.7m wide x 2.48 high and 3.7m wide x 1.5m high. Two access doors complete the facility.
Technical Sales Engineer Ian Mackley said: “The structure has a galvanized steel frame, blue PVC coated fabric walls and a white translucent PVC roof to let the natural light in. We were requested to supply the 3m low leg to blend in with site constraints”.
