Keeping mental health in Mind with Roses 2017

More than £3,500 (and still counting) has been raised for York and Lancashire MIND following Roses 2017, surpassing the University of York Students’ Union goal of £2,500.

Rubb was proud to help support Roses 2017. The University of York Students’ Union (YUSU) hosted the sporting event, which was partnered with both York Mind and Lancashire Mind in raising awareness and funding for mental health.

Following a weekend packed full of over 100 sporting fixtures, York went on the claim victory for the Carter James Trophy 206.5-159.5. The event also helped raise awareness of the positive link between sport and mental health and to fundraise for York and Lancashire Mind.

Both charities were present at the opening basketball event at York Sport Arena at the Heslington West Campus, as well as throughout the duration of the weekend. Many of the other indoor events, including indoor hockey, netball, handball, badminton and volleyball were hosted inside the new Rubb designed multi-use sport facility.

There is still time to make a donation here to help support this important cause. Thank you.
