Rubb has storage solutions down to a tea

Rubb Buildings Ltd created the ideal contamination free warehouse solution for Keith Spicer.
Newcastle based Keith Spicer is one of the UK’s major suppliers of tea. The company contacted Rubb looking for a facility to keep its storage warehouse clear of outside dirt and contamination while loading and unloading trucks in nearby docking areas.
Rubb Buildings Ltd came up with a custom designed BVR type dock cover to solve this ongoing problem. In total three dock covers were required, two of which were 10.4m wide x 10.5m long with one smaller cover measuring 6.5m wide x 11.5m long. Due to the height restrictions, the structures were custom designed complete with a flat roof.
The covers come with air tight sealed roller shutter loading docks allowing trailers to be unloaded under cover. Viewing panels were requested along the sidewall of the building to accommodate driver communications. Entrance doors complete the facility for personnel access along the side of loading docks.
Technical Sales Engineer Grant Davidson said: “The structure has a galvanized steel frame and grey PVC coated fabric walls and roof to blend in with interior of the warehouse. It was a pleasure working with Keith Spicer. As the project developed we worked very closely to adapt the design to best suit their needs and this proved very successful.”
