Rubb tickled pink for charity fundraiser

Team Rubb joined together to wear pink on Friday the 18th of October for Wear It Pink Day to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Staff at Rubb Buildings did their best to dig in their wardrobes for their best pink clothes and dig in their pockets to raise money for a worthy charity.

The team enjoyed coffee and cakes in our PVC warehouse, aptly decorated with all things pink, on Friday afternoon in honour of the day.

PVC Production Manager, Melanie Brewis, who has been at Rubb for 29 years said: “I found out about Wear It Pink Day on Facebook, and thought it was a great idea, especially with some staff being affected, so I mentioned it to the team.”

“The day was better than expected. Everyone got involved and contributed and all of the departments came together to not only raise money but awareness for an amazing cause.”

Managing Director, Ian Hindmoor, said: “It’s great for Rubb to be so closely associated with charity, and we hope to do more events like this in the future, as it means a lot to us and our staff.”

With contributions from both the staff and the company, Rubb managed to raise a grand total of £415.

The money raised will help an amazing charity, Breast Cancer Now, who are there for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.
