Keen footballers continue to benefit from Soccarena indoor football playing facility in Durham.
Chairman Stewart Dawson and his associates wanted to build an indoor football complex that could accommodate up to eight 6-a-side pitches that would be useable all year round.
He said: “I was delighted when I discovered there was a local company that could help fulfil my dreams of Soccarena.” Rubb won the contract after impressing the Chairman with a proven track record, quality product and professional level of service. He also admired Rubb’s work on the Newcastle United indoor training facility project.
A building within a building was constructed to include men’s and women’s changing rooms with disabled access, a café, kitchen, conference room and bar, a first aid room and offices.
To maximise internal space the building was constructed using I-beam column walls as an alternative to the lattice truss system. The height of the building rises sharply from the sidewalls to allow full use of the indoor football facility.
